Review: Episode 5: Kissed By Fire

This is it. The halfway point of Season Three. And its a good one.

In no particular order are my:

Yays.

Sandor versus Beric: A fire fight worthy of an honourable mention. And an especially creepy ending. Arya yelled and so did I.

Jon versus Ygritte: Well, what can I say,  he surprised us all in that cave by actually knowing something.

The introduction to the extremely creepy Selyse and her picked babies. I can see why Stannis actively took up table humping with Melisandre.

Shireen: She's cute, greyscaled and.sings a pretty tune. Whats not to like?

Every scene the extremely cute greyscaled Shireen shared with the imprisoned Davos and everyone else.

Jaime being brought before Roose Bolton. The moment where Roose teases him about Cersei being dead or not is something to see.

Jaime's confession scene with Brienne. Jaime so needed a hug and then he got one when he collapsed and Brienne caught him.

Tywin versus Cersei and Tyrion: No love lost there. Or apparently ever found. The look on their faces as the scene ends speaks volumes.

Tyrions meeting with Olenna: The Lady means business. She's also rather epic.

Karstark killing the Lannister children and his execution. Doesn't bode well for Robb.

The Tyrell marriage plot thickens: Margaery's skills as a master manipulator are something to see.

Sansa: Openly lying. To Littlefinger of all people. Living with the Lannister's has clearly taught her something.

Nays

Loras and the Squire: I just don't get how Renly could be so forgotten. So quickly.

Robbs planning: Only Cat makes sense. Your wife knows nothing. And neither do you.

Right, I actually really like this episode. Taken as a whole the twists and turns that the characters make actually really work rather well. Its going to be interesting to see what they do next on the show and I have to say it,  this is actually shaping up to be my favourite season.

Enough from me. What do you think? Do you have your own Yays or Nays? Did you like the episode? Please feel free to comment below.
