Cersei was pushed forward on her knees before Daenerys who sat upon the Iron Throne. She was all that was left in Kings Landing. All that remained of her family.
Jaime had taken Tommen, their youngest son and fled for Casterly Rock, the family seat of power, the moment the dragons had been sighted heading their way.
Cersei wouldn't leave the throne without a ruler though Jaime begged and pleaded for her to join them. She had sacrificed too much for this. Too much for power.
So, she sat on the throne and waited for the inevitable.
The cold, hard iron beneath her, all the power she'd ever wanted, had felt curiously hollow.
But she was a Lannister, brave and fearless like her Father had been, she would face her death with a smile on her face and never let them see that she was afraid.
A sudden hard slap across the face brought her back into the present.
Jorah Mormont stood over her, his eyes blazing furiously. 'The rightful Queen just asked you a question. You will answer her.''
Cersei could not answer. She had no idea what the question had been.
Jorah made to hit her again. A shout from Daenerys made him stop and with a look to his Queen he turned and walked away leaving them alone.
Dany stared at the woman kneeling before her. She truly was the most beautiful woman in all the kingdoms as the bards said. She asked her question again.
''Why did you stay behind?''
Cersei thought for a moment and then answered. ''To see what my destiny looked like.''
''Destiny?'' Dany repeated so loudly that the word seemed to echo around them.
The seven kingdoms were her destiny. They weren't Cersei's. What could she mean?
Cersei sighs and begins to explain. The words choke her.
''Queen you shall be . . . until there comes another, younger and more
beautiful, to cast you down and take all that you hold dear.''
Dany considered that for a moment. ''I have only taken what is rightfully mine. I have allowed your brother and your son to live. I will spare you as well. But... You will stay here with me.''
''As what?'' Cersei rages getting to her feet. ''Your prisoner? I have all ready been paraded through the streets once... It never broke me!''
Dany could tell that the former Queen was lying but the defiance in her eyes excited her. She could have taken her right there on the floor before the throne and shown her what a true Khaleesi was made of.
The thought of that made her smile. The temptation built inside her like a flame and threatened to blaze out of control.
Cersei just stood there staring the younger woman down. Proud and angry to the last.
No one should see a Queen be afraid.
But I am a Queen no longer. I am a lion.
Casterly Rock is mine to draw strength from and they will never defeat me as long as it continues to stand.
The Lioness watched as Daenerys suddenly left the throne and made her way down the steps until they were face to face.
'A dragon and just a girl at the same time.' Cersei thought. 'Her beauty reminds me of Rhaegar. I wonder if her hands are just as skilled.'
Cersei found herself staring directly into the Silver Queen's eyes. For Dany the urge to kiss her suddenly grew irresistible and she couldn't stop herself.
To her surprise the Lioness did not resist but rather passionately responded in kind her hands wandering over Dany's skin. Dany cried out as a hand suddenly brushed her in between her thighs.
At that moment the door opened and Ser Jorah re-entered. Cersei saw him first and moved away from Dany as if she had burned her. Jorah glared at her angrily.
''Khaleesi, the people are waiting to see their rightful Queen.'' He announces not really looking at either of them.
'He is jealous.' Cersei whispers to herself, smiling slyly.
Dany's gaze shifted between him and the Lioness.
''Tell them that I have travelled a very long way and I am very, very tired, '' She looks openly at Cersei then spoke in a voice filled with desire. ''I shall go to my bed and rest until morning.''
''What shall we do with her?'' He asks confused then continues, ''The people will expect you to make an example of her.''
''And I will.Tonight.'' Dany smiles at Cersei and takes her hand. ''Repeatedly.''
Jorah watches them leave together.
''This will not end well.'' He whispers into the air.
