Cersei was just about to retire to bed when she received a note from one of her handmaidens.
'I've been watching you.'
''Who gave you this?'' Cersei enquired as the maid took her leave.
''They didn't say your Grace.''
Cersei thought for a moment then smiled to herself.
Our closeness is making him grow bold.
''You,'' She said to the retreating servant. ''Bring me my cloak.''
With all of its glorious temples to the gods the Godswood was sorely neglected in Kings Landing. Ned's memory took him back to his own Godswood at Winterfell, a different time when he had been a younger man...
He had first seen her praying silently in the Godswood at Winterfell. A beautiful maiden of sixteen with hair of pure gold in the moonlight. She had somehow sensed his watching her, raised her eyes to his smiling shyly and he had fallen in lust in an instant.
''You are Eddard Stark?' She said looking him up and down. Something about him pleased her immensely and she continued speaking without waiting for an answer. ''I am Cersei Lannister.''
''I know who you are. The Lannister colouring is unmistakeable.'' He said confidently.
''Do you think I'm beautiful?'' She asked surprising him by starting to take off her clothing.
''What are you doing?'' He blurted out betrayed by his own nervousness.
''I know you want me. Why not just be honest about it and take me?'' Cersei explains, matter of factly.
Ned followed suit removing his own clothes and throwing them to one side carelessly.
Cersei leaned up against the tree, naked, willing and waiting.
The sight of her inflamed him. He could not wait.
He advanced on her, pinning her against the trunk and wrapping her legs around his waist.
The feel of him entering her swiftly made them both cry out.
He took her again and again with a need he didn't know was in him before they eventually sank, completely spent, to the Godswood floor.
''I've been watching you.'' She said with a smirk, her head resting lazily upon his chest...
A noise behind him made him turn. Cersei pulled off her cloak to reveal her nakedness.
'I got your note.' She said leaning up against a tree.
