FAKE WESTEROS INTERVIEWS: MARGAERY TYRELL

Our #FakeWesteros interview series continues with the current Queen of Westeros, Margaery Tyrell!

How did you get involved with #FakeWesteros?
I was browsing Twitter and stumbled across @queen_cersei's account. I followed her for a few weeks and was hooked. Her account is brilliant. I tried to model my account off hers, but she is just way too good at what she does to match.

Why did you pick your character?
I reached out to @queen_cersei before I made mine, and she told me to just do it. I had wanted to make a Cersei, but I knew I'd never be as amazing as her account, so I decided on Margaery. I view her as Cersei with a centered moral compass. She ambitious and shrewd, but truly caring. I thought I could pull that off better. It was only a week or so after the first episode aired, so I was able to jump on the character knowing she would have to be cast if the show continued.

What do you love the most about being your character on Twitter?
How many people are genuinely rooting for her! She's so vague in the books, so it's hard for someone to reach and say, "hey, Margaery Tyrell is totally my favorite character in aSoIaF," because you just don't know much about her. But her expanded character on the show really gets people invested. Fans got the #FreeMargaery thing going!

Favourite character and episode?
Margaery, duh! My favorite episode would have to be season 3, episode 5 "Kissed by Fire". The fight scene between Beric and the Hound was so amazing, so so perfect, I still tear up at it.

How has the Twitter community reacted to your character?
Either they love me, or they think I'm a cradle robber and are disgusted.

Do you have any messages for the people who follow your character?
It's always a game. The game has changed, it's about revenge. But I'm a freaking Tyrell, this revenge will be well thought out, it will grow. The insult has to be repaid.

How do you feel about the Season Six opening episode?
For the first time, I have no idea what to expect. It makes you more emotionally invested. I hate everything about this Dorne. Ellaria is awful, the Sand Snakes are terrible, but everything else was so so good thus far. And what do you predict for your favourite character this year? She'll play their game, get out of prison, then sayonara suckers! Enjoy this mess you've made, bitches be cray, Tyrell out. I'm queen, can't change that, and you all need me WAY more than any need any of you. Peace.

You are currently in a cell being tortured by Septa Unella. Do you really fear her? Or are you just playing them at their own game?
I'm pretty sure I fear being beaten, not her. I think I'm just starting to learn what their game is, and adjusting my strategy as I do.

Twice widowed under suspicious circumstances. Do you think you and Tommen could work out? Or will he die as well?
I certainly hope we work out, I've worked very hard to be queen. I am no longer sure I like my husband, considering that noodle he has masquerading as a backbone. Things as they are, his chances of living seem very low..

Do you think you will survive? Will Loras?
Well, no one is safe. I am very shrewd, I think my chances are better than others. Loras... Eeeeh... I worry for him. I've also read the books, so...

Finally, you and Cersei have a common goal in defeating the Faith Militant. Will you finally set aside your differences?
Well, there's always the chance Hodor will sit on the Iron Throne. I think that is as likely as us setting anything aside.

Who do you think will survive or sacrifice themselves somehow?
Things aren't looking good for Jorah. But overall, I don't think even Dany will survive. If Sansa and I are the only ones alive in the end, I would be totally okay with that.
